Empowered Acro’s founders (Katrina & Chris) will lead your partnership through a series of weight-sharing poses that build trust and encourage teamwork. If you’re looking for a place to laugh, challenge yourselves, and capture some awesome photos together, we’ve got you covered. Acro Date Night is appropriate for complete beginners and beyond. We tailor content to fit our participants and can include elements of yoga, meditation, partner yoga, therapeutic flying, and cuddle poses upon request.

KATRINA & CHRIS

Date night facilitators Katrina Repman & Chris Cox have been romantic partners, business partners, and training partners since 2014. Chris is a software engineer & gym rat who trains handstands on his lunch breaks. Katrina is a Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience as a yoga & meditation instructor.

Katrina & Chris first met in 2013 through the acro scene in Austin, Texas. The pair connected over their shared passion for graceful movement, authentic connection, and matching outfits. They spent the following years training under globally renowned instructors, teaching at festivals, and organizing events for their local community. In 2017, the pair opened their studio: Empowered Acro, and quickly grew to a team of over 25 instructors teaching 1,000+ students each year. In 2022, they began facilitating international teacher trainings alongside their Seattle-based mentor. Today, Chris & Katrina continue to enjoy sharing the practice of acro with folks of all ages and skill levels. They view acro as a tool for bringing people together and fostering communication, trust, and play within communities.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How, um …intimate… is this “date night” going to be?
Great question :) The atmosphere is lighthearted and the content is non-sexual.

What should we wear?
We find that stretchy, form-fitting workout-wear is best. Avoid clothing with pockets as well as sheer and slippery fabrics. Loose shirts are fine to wear as long as they are long enough to tuck in.

What should I bring with me?
Mats are provided. A water bottle & workout towel are always nice to have.
